Vagdia and Holmes Architects incorporates Kenneth Holmes Associates, which was formed on 1st October 1980, by Mr Kenneth Holmes. Our Practice has a history of working and serving Church communities for over 30 years. We strive to offer a professional architectural service, by listening and responding to the needs of our Clients, offering them project commitment and task enthusiasm. Our work base, whilst strongest in middle England, also cover projects across the country from Buckinghamshire to Yorkshire. Our Team consists of two working Directors, closely supported by seven Architectural Assistants, and a Practice Secretary. Our Practice is commissioned to work on a general cross section of projects, and by virtue of its reputation has a strong emphasis upon ecclesiastical, community and volunteer-group based client groups. Our current client profile includes commissions from Church Councils, Charitable Trusts, private and residential clients, and a number of local contractors undertaking speculative development projects. Projects range from £10k up to £16 million.
Kenneth L Holmes Ken gained his Diploma in Architecture at the Leicester School of Architecture in July 1973, and became a registered architect in December 1973, and a corporate architect in July 1975. Ken is current chair of the Building Advisory Board, at the School of Science and Environment, Coventry University, and has previously chaired the Coventry and Warwickshire Society of Chartered Architects (1985-87) Ken has a wealth of experience in ecclesiastical and charitable trusts sectors, and projects supported by English Heritage.
Dhiran Vagdia Dhiran graduated from the University of Nottingham, and became a corporate member of the RIBA in February 2004. He schooled in Coventry, and read architecture at the University of Nottingham.
Jason Brooks Jason is an active member of the Practice since starting in November 2005, and is gaining valuable experience in preparation for his RIBA Part III examinations. Jason acquired an Advanced Distinction in the Construction and the Built Environment courses at the Coventry Technical College, which gave him the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals across the industry. Jason completed his BA (Hons) Degree in 2001, and his Post Graduate Diploma in 2005 at the Birmingham School of Architecture, UCE. Jason has had his University work featured in the The Birmingham Post, The BSA Yearbook (2000, 2004 & 2005) and The Birmingham Mail; and has also gained on site experience working as a site agent. Other works have received awards from the Nuneaton Festival of Arts, and recently has becomed involved with judging the work generated by students involved with the Art in Architecture Day, run by the local branch of the RIBA and Warwickshire EBP.
Paul Beasley Paul first joined the Practice in September 2004 on his RIBA Part I work placement, following several months travelling around Australia-Asia, after studying the BA(Hons) Architecture course at the University of Lincoln from 2000-2003. Paul has gained valuable experience working on various projects and has enjoyed and thrived in the working environment so much that he is considering studying part time for his RIBA Part II degree from September 2007.
